You agree with him: it is complicated, and you’re not even sure what it is, particularly, that you’re finding attractive in the girls (or, let’s be honest here: girl) with whom you’ve been thinking you’d like to enter a romantic relationship.  It was silly, you thought to yourself, and you wished you could just push the thought out of your head, but it wouldn’t let you go.  You had to come to terms with it eventually, though, and you were slowly realizing that you were gay.

Of course not.  I wasn’t implying that there was any moral reason to discard or discredit the notion, and I of course believe in equality regardless of sexual orientation.  I just didn’t think that, um.
