You laugh nervously but still look upon the cafe with a little bit less of intimidation in your stature. You were glad Rose deemed it affordable. More so because she was a college student and you couldn’t even imagine how expensive that must have been on her.

oh yeah! how’s school going anyway?

If you’re in need of economic frugality, I’ll pay for you, John.  You don’t need to worry about it.

What John doesn’t know is that your mother, being first, fabulously wealthy, and second, your mother, provides you with more than enough as a living stipend.  Since your work takes up a great deal of time because you often need a tutor to help you work through the more visual aspects of your classes, you don’t really have the time to work, and even if you did, you’re not sure anyone would hire a blind student with no specialized skills.

It’s a lot of work, but hopefully it will be rewarding some day.  I’m a little anxious about that, but I don’t think it’s for nothing that I’m putting up with the great degree of effort that it requires.
