Initially, you furrow your brow for a moment, then recognition dawns across your face as you hear him describe “being in the universe for a little while”.

Oh, hello there, John.  It’s nice of you to visit.

You shuffle out of the way, picking up your cane so it wouldn’t impede his path as he walked in.  Your smile grows warmer.

Please, do come in.

You shudder momentarily as the cool air continues to rush into the house, but soon enough when the door is closed it warms up again.

It’s a little chilly outside.  Do you have a coat that I could put away for you?
