Ah, but language is simply the first step to being a lady, miss. One does not have to do amazing things daily to be refined, most days I do not. Being more ladylike or gentlemanly is all in your actions towards others, not just your habits or the actions toward yourself.
Perhaps so. In any event, it’s a matter of courtesy, and I endeavor to constantly improve that sense of my own, even if there’s a twofold difficulty based first on the actions and words of others, and my necessary reliance on some of them, for which I suppose I could always be more grateful.
